Help us change lives in Uganda!
Uganda is a country with over 2.7 million orphans and 8 million children at risk. After living in the country and witnessing this harsh reality firsthand, putting faces and names to many of these children, we are committed to making a difference. To achieve this, we have established the NGO Nafasi Uganda. Our first project is the construction of an orphanage that will offer a second chance to children who have been abandoned, abused, or who have lost their parents. We want to create a home where they can grow in a safe environment, filled with love, values, education, and emotional support.
We invite you to join our family and collaborate with us to make this project a reality.

"I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things."
How this project began:
In 2017, I started traveling to Uganda and fell in love with the country, but most of all, with the children. Since then, I returned whenever I could and was certain that after finishing my studies, I would move there permanently. A year and a half ago, I finally moved to Uganda, and during this time, the inspiration for this project came to me: Irene.
I met her in 2018 while volunteering at her school, and from that moment, we formed a very special bond. Irene had been abandoned by her parents at the school, and years later, after a traumatic incident that resulted in a pregnancy, she was expelled. From then on, she lived in very difficult conditions, struggling to survive with her daughter.
A year ago, upon learning about her situation, I knew they deserved an opportunity for Irene to continue her education and offer her daughter a dignified future. I managed to get Irene enrolled in a boarding school, though, due to the age difference, she couldn’t board at the same school as her daughter, who had to attend another school, and they could only see each other during holidays. Despite the challenges and after several years without studying (even missing the first trimester), Irene worked so hard that not only did she pass all her subjects, but she did so with very good grades.
This was the first case that inspired me to start this project—a home where these two girls could reunite. But since then, I’ve met many other children in similarly difficult circumstances, and it made me realize how much they deserve a home filled with peace, love, education, and opportunities—what every child in the world should have.
This story is just a small glimpse of why this project came to life. Over the past few years, I’ve received countless signs showing me that this is my life’s mission. Some of these signs have been so clear that I have no doubt God is guiding me. This idea began turning into reality thanks to the support of family and friends, who have believed in this project as much as I have.
