Carmen, a 29-year-old from Barcelona, is one of over 400 people battling #RasmussenEncephalitis (RE)—one of the rarest diseases in the world: only 2.4 out of every 10 million people are affected. Its cause remains unknown, and it leads the immune system to attack one hemisphere of the brain, resulting in significant brain damage.

At #REsolve, we are committed to changing this reality by building the largest bio-repository ever dedicated to RE research, where each sample costs approximately €25,000. Unfortunately, there isn’t enough data to find a cure, so we will share all information fully and publicly. International professionals are collaborating to better understand the disease and accelerate the development of a definitive treatment.

Your contribution will go directly toward funding the acquisition and analysis of these vital samples. The sooner we gather more data, the closer we’ll be to a cure. #WeAreAllInThisTogether in this fight, and every donation makes a difference for Carmen and others affected by #RasmussenEncephalitis.

Join us and help put an end to this rare disease! #Carmen #BioRepository #REResearch #RECure #DonationForLife

The REsolve Project is dedicated to transforming the landscape of Rasmussen encephalitis research, treatment, and patient care. Our mission is to unite leading scientific minds, medical experts, and patient communities to accelerate groundbreaking discoveries and innovative therapies. Through collaboration, advocacy, and cutting-edge research, we strive to bring hope, improve outcomes, and ultimately redefine what’s possible for those affected by this rare neurological disorder.
