Where new beginnings start

Hi, I’m Pía. In February 2026, I did a volunteer program in Diani, Kenya, and got to know the reality of many young mothers who have been victims of abuse or have been left alone with their babies, without support or resources.

Africachild is a project that offers them a safe space where they can live with their babies while receiving support, education, and vocational training. There, they find something many have never had: security, guidance, and the opportunity for a better future.

Now, 8 of these girls are about to leave the center to start a new stage in their lives. And that’s where the biggest challenge appears: how to generate income to support their children. That’s why we created this campaign.

Our goal is to raise funds to provide each of them with basic materials to start a small activity that will help them become independent. They will receive a starter kit for small businesses such as:

• ✂️💄 Hairdressing and beauty
• 🧵👗 Sewing and clothing alterations

Small tools that may seem simple here, but there, they can mean the power to move forward on their own.
